A Kentucky man high on marijuanna and drunk off of a fifth of whiskey but his 5-week-old son in the oven and left him there overnight. The oven wasnt turned on and the door was left open a bit, says police. The babies mother fell asleep after taking 4 or 5 shots of whiskey and was awoken, at 5:30 the next morning, by her babies cries coming from the oven. A mental health care provider reported this after the man called. He called immediatly after he realized what he had done. He was arrested on the charge of first degree endangerment and is being held on a bail of $10,000. The baby was taken from the mothers custody and placed in care of a family member.
I feel that he pretty much got what he deserved. I also think that the baby should have been taken away from the family if he is in danger of this happening again. Although the mother was sleeping she should still be somewhat responsible for drinking with a baby so young in the house.
